Anyhow, you can call me Javier or “Big Jav” (I guess they know who’s the boss right?? j/k Bernard).
I got started professionally in music, like so many other dj's, as a mobile jock for Music Masters, maybe we did your high school prom or your friend's wedding.
Having been in sales jobs for several years, and not wanting to be a "wedding singer" for the rest of my life, I went back to school, took a slew of radio courses, worked for a couple of radio stations, got an internship in Oregon, found my way back to Cali, and here I am. Favorite bands: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Eric Clapton, Blind Faith, Cream, Grand Funk, Parliament, Stevie Wonder, Beatles, Akon, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Beyonce, Jay-Z, anything with a good melody, hook, and bass line, I’m in. Lately, I’ve been listening to tons of jazz music. My favorite reality show? My own life! I like watching American Idol, the History Channel, old flicks on Comcast (gratuitous plug), and I love basketball, watching and playing.
